Review: English Textbook Of 10th Grade (Sindh Textbook Board Jamshoro)

The English textbook of Sindh Board is an academically cultured book which has got worldly wise and sacred knowledge being conveyed by different tales, verses and dramas. With such remarkable contents one can find out exact sense of living not just existing. The book contains fat and my much loved area of history as Khybar Pass, African villages and customs of Pakistan and etc-etc. But the most interesting feature of this book is that it carries dry subjects like history so surprisingly splendid. Not only this, moreover this book enlightens common topics so sound that one would find a great reform in his/her life after reading those topics like respect of seniors, unity, protecting your kinfolks, sharing, tolerating, serving and every positive aspect that hits your wits.

Being a massive enthusiast of poetry; I will be mad about the range of poems which are so infrequent and in fact which reflect to some magnificent messages for mankind. And this book is so simple that one can study it himself/herself as it provides you dictionary for each chapter or poem with handy exercises.

As a matter of fact, that this book has forlornly been same for years when I suppose my parents were doing matriculations. I would also criticize this book for not changing it but also for not perking up the quality of book. You see, with no doubt range of poetry is brilliant but if the editors put poetries of enhanced rank then it will be a master deed. Because before matriculation we learn brand new English books from Oxford’s, Cambridge’s and Harvard’s editions but when you come to senior classes and have to study some low rank book? It blows my brain. This book has not been modernized with the present affairs of world, I mean this should be full of fresh facts of world, some great poetries of like Shakespeare, Robert frost and etc-etc. Should also contain new English which is well spoken through out the world with pure vocabulary. In reality if something is so uncomplicated with interesting text it might not magnetize you to pick it even so this book shall be customized in new version of colored pictures, new fonts, well quality of paper, new layout of front page and new contents. So if these things are concerned by the educational communities, we might discover things way too improved as this book is supplied to every student in interior areas of Sindh and students will definitely find some great awareness and a door will be pushed open towards enhancement.

I am optimistic that one day this demand will be put into practice and children will boom themselves by learning this book. INSHALLAH!
